Our client is looking for an upbeat and dynamic person to fill this position for the beautiful 136-room resort at the top of a mountain. The receptionist is the first person the customer sees when arriving at a hotel. Its role of reception and directing information is essential. In some hotels, the receptionist also plays the role of the "concierge" and can take care of the relations with the outside animations. The receptionist also has an important indirect administrative role, upstream of the client's arrival, in the management of calls, reservations and room schedules.
Job description
• Records the arrival of the customer and regulates the administrative formalities required by the hotel
• Informs the client about the services offered by the hotel and give him the keys to his room
• If necessary, provides information on cultural, gastronomic and other activities proposed by the city or region
• Sometimes, takes care of certain reservations (taxi, restaurant, theater ...)
• Upon departure, prepares invoices and cash the customer's payment
• Schedules upstream bookings that arrive by mail, fax or phone
• Manages the availability of rooms in real time on a reservation software, and plays on the rates according to the affluence
• Optimizes the occupancy rate of the hotel by establishing statistics on its software
• A night receptionist must also close the accounts of the day
• In an establishment of 90 rooms and suites, he/she works in a team and depends on a head of reception and carries out very diversified functions.
• Responds effectively to all outside calls
• Responds effectively to all internal calls from customers and the team, and provides a correct and effective response to each request and transfers calls to the appropriate services (Spa, Bar & Restaurant)
• Uses at all times the scripts and the greeting formulas put in place
• Properly informs about the services and the different types of rooms and promotes them to optimize sales
• Respects the standards and procedures put in place
